自慢する側とされる側、ほめる側とほめられる側・・・。それぞれの関係における立場は、正逆とは違いますよね。
施主サイドにおいて、自慢するのが能動的であるのに対し、ほめられるのは受動的、また、非施主サイドにおいて、自慢されるのが受動的であるのに対し、ほめるのは能動的というように。
自慢する／されるのが、押し付けがましさと迷惑感の出現であるのに対し、ほめる／ほめられるのはもう少し美しいやりとりのように思います。あのエントリは後者のほほえましいやりとりを考えながら書いてみました。

ただ、重要なのは、自慢したり、ほめられたりすることを第一に考えて家づくりをすべきではないということ。まさに朝妻さんのおっしゃるとおりです。

自慢するネタとほめるネタというのは一般化しようとすると、ほとんど重なってしまうようにも思います。だから、あんまり一般的な評価基準に振り回されないよう気をつけたいものです。
人のいう「いい物」は、必ずしも自分にとっては「いい物」ではない。それは家においても同じですから。
