先が楽しみ でちょっと思った
もはや、家づくりを通して“さとり”を開いた感のあるgaraika氏。
氏の『息子の木、娘の木』にＴＢ
garaika氏はそこで、昔の人間は長いスパンで物事を考えいたといっている。
氏ご本人も、
山小屋生活を通して木々や草花の成長、
辺りに生息する生き物の四季の移ろいを
本当に満喫して居られるのがこれまでのエントリからも伺える。
氏も過去のエントリで何度も書かれているが
「家の一番いい時期」とはいつなんだろうか改めて考えた。
雑誌などに出ている家はそのほとんどが新築の家ばかり。
建築の専門誌にいたっては、家具がないのは当たり前。
では、その出来たての状態が一番いいのか？
私が過去にお手伝いさせて頂いたお宅へ何年かぶりにお邪魔することがある。
そのほとんどが、出来た当時よりも『現在』のほうがずっと良くなっている。
うんと味が出てきていると感じる。
『経年変化』
通常は時がたって、あちこちが傷んできたときにつくり手側が
都合よく使うことが多い気がする。
『良い経年変化』っていうのもたくさんあるのに。
「丁寧に左官で仕上げたこの壁が、数年後にどうなるんだろう」
「今は白いこの無垢の床材が、時を経てどう変わっていくのだろう」
そんな楽しみがあってもいい気がする。
焼き物、装飾品、車、時計・・・
どんなものにも何十年のときを経てその価値が増していくものもあるというのに
『家』においては、その辺の事情が随分と違うのが少し寂しい気もする。
引き渡しのときに『先が楽しみですね』っていえるような家づくりを
これからもお手伝いしていきたいとちょっと思った。
家を可愛がってやってください。

garaikaさん、どうもです。
“家フェチ”さすが！
本宅の今後も楽しみですが、
何時の日か、山小屋をお父様からgaraikaさんが引継ぎ、そして息子さんへつないでゆく。
何年後、何十年後には、立派な本ができそうです。今のうちから、その準備をしておいてくださいね。（笑）
