“露”か“風”か？　でちょっと思った

正しい日本語が分からない。

家の話をするときによく出てくる言葉

『雨風凌ぐ』

でも、本来は

『雨露凌ぐ』

というのがきっと正しいのではないかと思っている。

でも、日常会話では『雨風・・・』のほうが圧倒的に多く使われている気がする。
自分も含んである。

「雨が凌げれば、露も凌げるでしょ」という意見も複数あった。
なるほど確かにそうかもしれない。

でも、『昔の家』と『今の家』
つくり方も材質も全く違ってきている。
『露』がかかったくらいで傷むような材料は
現代ではそもそもないのかもしれない。

『霧よけ』　という言葉を知らない人が多いことに昨日気がついた。

窓の上についている小さい屋根のことである。
現在はこれを『ひさし』と言っていることが多いようだ。

本来は『霧をよけるもの』が『日差しをさえぎるもの』ととらえられているようだ。
実際にその用途で付けられているいるものの方が今は多いと思う。

大体、『霧』なんて都市部ではほとんど発生しない。
（でも、昨日はすごかった）

だから、霧除けなんて必要ないからつけないのか
それとも、設計者がデザイン的に嫌ってつけないのか
その真意は定かではないが・・・。

で、
『露』　か　『風』　の結論は、『どちらでもよい』ということらしい。

正しい日本語をきちんと使えるようになりたい。　とちょっと思った。

というよりも、つかえていない自分が情けなく感じた。
