はじめてのことは、わからない
昨日、来春出版予定の本の表紙のラフのラフデザインが届きました。
「あくまでもラフです」といわれているのに
細かいところまで見てしまう。
自分でもラフだから全体のイメージを見ればいいのだろうとは
分かっているつもりでも、つい細かいところを見てしまう。
うん、待てよ？
自分の普段の仕事の中でも
建築家から出てくる、施主への最初の提案を
「これはあくまでもラフプランですので、全体的な雰囲気を見てください」
などと毎回の様に言っているではないか！
多くの施主にとって建築家からの提案を見ることは始めての経験。
そして、私は本を作るなどということは初めての経験。
なるほど！
経験していることは、なんとなくその先に見えるものが想像できるが
経験したことのないことについては、先が見えない。
だから、つい細かいところに目がいってしまう。
だって、今の状態で判断するしかないんだから・・・。
自分では「施主の気持ちがわかる建築プロデューサー」を目指しているつもりが
まだまだ不親切なところがあることを実感しました。
今後もますます精進していきます。
ということで、本の原稿直しに四苦八苦している毎日です。
なるほど、なかなか慧眼ですね。
確かに「細かいところは気にしないでいいから」
って思って図面見せたりしますねえ。

作る側としては漠然とした印象で方向付けを確認したいのに、受け手はどうしても細部に目がいく。
いつまで経ってもこの段階的な流れをクライアントとの間で作っていくことができない不器用なオレです（泪）

とはいえ、それを見越して細かいところを全く書かないでプレゼンするわけにも行かず・・・
